Welcome from the Chair

3rd Buildings Webinar

Novel Technologies for Energy Efficiency in Buildings

On behalf of the journal Buildings, as Chair of this Webinar, I would like to welcome the valuable researchers and professors joining this event. Today, we have three worldwide experts on novel technologies for buildings. Superinsulation, building integration of photovoltaics and smart technologies for dynamic control of solar radiation are only a few keywords, representing some of the topics that will be covered in this webinar.

Together, pressured by events, we must find new responses to the dramatic acceleration of climate change and the rapid depletion of fossil energy sources. Novel technologies may enhance the performance of buildings and reduce energy consumption.

Today, three valuable researchers from as many countries will share with us their recent advancements in relevant fields of investigation, showing us their interesting presentations.

The success of this Webinar also depends on the participants, and all of you are welcome to discuss ideas and raise all the questions you feel are relevant to the proposed topics.

Furthermore, you are all welcome to submit your manuscripts for this Special Issue, guest-edited in collaboration with Dr. Fabrizio Mariano and Dr. Marco Pugliese.

Finally, I would like to thank the invited speakers for sharing their precious knowledge with all of us.
